About me.
I am Andre “Ramoni”, an Infrastructure Mechanic as said in my linkedin.
Why ?
Just to raise the bar.
As a sysadmin, I’m always trying to make better infrastructure better. Sometimes I talk to people who just can’t understand how should we administrate infrastructure nowadays.
There are many sysadmins and developers out there who think they are using “cloud computing” just because they pay Amazon, Google, Microsoft or any other cloud player to run his company servers. But they keep SSHing into servers to get things done.
They even put hostnames on servers !
And when I talk to them they make me feel like I am the crazy guy repeating modern buzzwords and new paradigms that they think don’t worth it or even don’t work.
They are people that just can’t understand things until you show them.
ARGLabs is about showing them, and giving them, *code that works*.
About ARGLabs.
It’s a fully functional and reproducible infrastructure and applications lifecycle that I use as my PoC (proof of concept) testing lab.
You are welcome to reproduce all the lab in your own cloud account.
IaC is the key. If it can’t be done as code, it cannot be done.

Vinicius Figueiredo
Vini did the entire IaC stack on Zoop to deploy infrastructure and application code using Jenkins pipelines.
At that time, he was the DevOps team lead. I was the SRE team lead when I started to use his stack to deploy SRE services and started to evolve the stack.
Since then I kept evolving the stack to meet my goals and then, decided to share it all as the ARGLabs project.
Thanks Vini.
